Ledyard police bust man for possession


LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — Ledyard police said they have arrested a local man for possession.

According to police, Ryan Laplante has been charged for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Police said security had to take Laplante from Fox Towers because he was intoxicated.

They brought him over to Two Trees Hotel in Ledyard.

At Two Trees Hotel police said Laplante had a bag of cocaine fall out of his pocket while paying for a hotel room.

Laplante has been released on bond and is due back in court Nov. 15 in New London.
