NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — You’ve heard of the importance of products that are ‘Made in America,’ now you’ll be able to look for the “Made in New Haven” symbol.
City officials unveiled the first ever “Made in New Haven” logo Wednesday morning. The ceremony was at the New Haven Museum, which has exhibits highlighting the city’s industrial past.
Today, they had more modern products on display as well. They will all display the new logo.
City officials say that will help remind people of the proud past and present of New Haven entrepreneurs. “By highlighting these people and focusing on the way they help to sustain our reputation as a city, as a place where people make great products, and build great new businesses,” said New Haven Deputy Economic Development Director, Steve Fontana.
15 businesses have already adopted the “Made in New Haven” brand. That includes Pure Elements beauty products, clothing designer Neville Wisdom and Lamberti’s Sausage
