Man being questioned in 2014 murder of Simsbury Insurance executive

A possible suspect is being questioned in the 2014 murder of an insurance executive in Simsbury.

Sources tell the Hartford Courant a man walked into the Simsbury Police Department this week and confessed to killing Melissa Millan,  a Senior Vice-President at Mass Mutual at the time of her death.

The sources said the man is a registered sex offender who lived in the area.

Authorities will now investigate whether the man’s confession is credible.

Millan was stabbed to death on November 20, 2014 as she was jogging along Iron Horse Boulevard.
