Man killed in car accident on I-84 in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — New Britain resident Anthony Lopez was tragically killed around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night when his car was rear-ended near exit 49 eastbound on Interstate 84.

According to State Police, Lopez was outside of his vehicle, which was stopped in the left lane, when the car was rear-ended by Isaac Addai’s Acura 3.2L. After the impact, Lopez fell over the center concrete barrier and fell to his death on the railroad tracks below. His passenger, Tianna Ford, along with Addai has no reported injuries from the accident.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Troop H in reference to the accident investigation at (860) 534-1000 and the case will remain active pending further investigation.
