NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A bullet grazed a 23-year-old man’s neck in New Haven early on Thursday morning, according to authorities.
Police say the victim told them he was moving a relative’s car on Stimson Road and he heard a crash. He said he went to see if everyone was okay, and the people in the car ran. He told officers he then went back to what he was doing and heard two gunshots, one of which hit his relative’s car.
Officials say the victim flagged down an officer, who noticed a small hole in the back of the man’s sweater. The victim was taken to the hospital and released.
Police say the car that crashed was stolen from Hamden.
