Manchester Police investigating armed robbery

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Manchester are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a clothing store on Wednesday night.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Manchester police responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Rainbow Clothing Store on West Middle Turnpike. According to the investigation, a male suspect approached a store worker, brandished a handgun and told all the workers and customers to give up their cell phones and go into a back room of the store.

Police say there was a female accomplice inside that the male suspect was communicating with. The suspects then stole money from the cash register and safe before fleeing the store in a dark colored vehicle.

Officers provided the following descriptions of the suspects.

Suspect #1 – Skinny, Black male, in his early 20’s wearing big sunglasses, and a black hat. He was further described as having numerous hickey’s on his neck, and tattoo’s on both his forearms.

Suspect #2 – Black female, about 5’2″ tall, with a stocky build. She was wearing black clothing and glasses.
