Milford man accused of shooting firearm while cleaning it under the influence of drugs

On Wednesday, Milford police arrested a man for allegedly discharging an antique firearm while under the influence of drugs.

Police said Jeffery Domeracki of Milford, 32, was cleaning the antique firearm on January 19 when he accidentally discharged it, resulting in him shooting his hand. Police believe at the time of the incident, he was under the influence of drugs.

Police said Domeracki was illegally possessing the weapon due to a previous conviction.

He received multiple charges including criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm under the influence.

He is due in court on May 28.
