The Milford Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at a Bridgeport Avenue store late Monday night.

According to police, the business owner described a suspicious man in the parking lot of the area via surveillance cameras.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the suspicious man attempting to hide. The suspect, Isaias Mendoza-Perez, 39, was placed in handcuffs while the officers investigated the incident. Preliminary investigation showed three other businesses in the area had either been broken into or attempted to be.

Officers spoke to Medoza-Perez about the incident, to which Mendoza-Perez said he had an argument with his wife and “does stupid things when he fights with her.”

Mendoza-Perez is held on a $100,000 bond and charged with burglary, larceny, and criminal mischief. He is due in court on Wednesday.
