Milford Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Stealing Orange Juice

News

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)- Milford police arrested a man they say stole two bottles of orange juice from the Walmart, and then threatened workers with a knife when they asked him to return it to the store.

27-year-old Elby Espinal is charged with 6th degree larceny, 3rd degree robbery and 2nd degree breach of peace.

Police say on Jul 12 around 2:30PM police were called to the Walmart on Boston Post Road. Police say Espinal took two bottles of Orange Juice from the store without paying. Police say when Loss Prevention Agents asked Espinal to return to the store, he dropped the bottles and took off running. Police say those workers asked Espinal to come back to the store again, and that’s when he pulled out a knife and pointed it at the Loss Prevention agent. Police say Espinal threatened that agent saying “I’ll kill you.”

Police say Espinal took off, but they found him hiding in the yard of a nearby home on Cedarhurst Lane.
