Saying no to tolls.
At Monday’s Board of Aldermen meeting, the city’s GOP leaders discussed a local resolution opposing tolls.
They said not only will tolls clog up Milford’s secondary roadways, but that they would leave city streets more vulnerable to trucks.

Milford has the biggest truck stop in the state, and city Republicans believe big rigs will hop off the highway to jump tolls.
“That really opens us up for trucks leaving and coming into our secondary roads in order to skip a toll,” said Anthony Giannattasio (R) of Milford.
The anti-toll resolution will be considered by the Board of Aldermen at its May 6th meeting.
