The General Manager of the bar and restaurant announced to the Connecticut Department of Labor Monday their plans to close the business in January 2019.
Nearly 60 employees are expected to lose their jobs as a result of the closure. Positions range from servers, cashiers, cooks, bussers, dishwashers and bartenders. None of the positions are unionized.
According to Department of Labor documents, the casino decided not to renew its lease to the landlord of the restaurant.
