A Mother’s Day surprise for a Connecticut military family.
Sergeant Josh Sarpu, a medevac crew chief for the Connecticut National Guard has been on a one year deployment in Iraq.
He was overseas as his wife Cassie gave birth to their daughter, Savannah.
But he made it his new mission to make it home for his wife’s first Mother’s Day.
The whole family was reunited Friday morning on Good Morning America.
The Sarpu’s say this Mother’s Day will be even more amazing than she could have imagined.
