With Spring right around the corner, iconic businesses in Mystic including the aquarium and seaport are going into their own pockets to help promote the popular seaside destination.
On Wednesday, several businesses announced a privately-funded marketing initiative to attract people to Mystic.

The campaign, called “Sea Mystic” will sponsor billboards on Interstate 95 in Fairfield and New Haven, as well as on their new website seamystic.org.
President of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Peggy Roberts says, “We are so proud and so happy at the chamber that so many of our members have come together to do this for Mystic because it’s going to help everyone.”
The group has rasied an initial $100,000.
