Burger King tests out new vegetarian Whopper

A major U.S. burger chain wants to win over vegetarians. Burger King is testing out a spin on its famous Whopper.

The ‘impossible burger’ is plant-based and will be tested out at 59 locations in and around St. Louis.

If all goes well… The veggie burger could be rolled out nationwide.

The Impossible Whopper has fewer calories than the original beef-based burger, and it’s also low in cholesterol and has zero trans fat.

It’ll cost about a dollar more. Burger King’s chief marketing officer tells the New York Times (https://nyti.ms/2I58i7A) his team struggled to differentiate between the veggie burger and the beef burger.
