A San Diego women’s center is being sued by more than 80 women, who claim they were secretly recorded in the operating room.
The lawsuit alleges Sharp Grossmont Hospital recorded 18,000 patients with hidden motion activated cameras showing patients both conscious and unconscious partially robed on operating tables.
Carla Jones said her daughter’s birth was recorded and she had no idea.
“The idea that there was a camera in a room where I was exposed and had what I would say was probably the most intense moment of my life was alarming and very upsetting,” Jones said.
Court documents say the cameras were put there after drugs turned up missing from operating rooms.
So far no comment from the hospital.
