Caught on camera, a body cam showing how an officer saved a baby that was choking.
This happened in Culver City, California where police say a woman was driving when her 9-month-old started choking on some food.
Officer Brian Cappell runs and follows the woman’s 10-year-old daughter to the car, grabs the baby, and starts patting her back.
Moments later, the baby started to cry, meaning she was getting air. Her mom is extremly grateful to the officer for saving her baby.
Officer Cappell was honored on Monday for saving baby Harleigh. Mom, Janet, is doing fine now.
It was the first time in 19 years with that department that the officer had to perform CPR. He said he hopes he never has to again.
