Facebook, Google, to answer questions about white nationalism in Capitol Hill hearing

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill will grill leaders from Facebook to Google on Tuesday about how their platforms are used by white supremacists.

The hearing will be held by the House Judiciary Committee. This comes just weeks after fifty people died in a terror attack at two mosques in New Zealand that was streamed live on Facebook.

Google has been the target of criticism for the role online search plays in spreading hateful ideologies.
