For ancient calendars, May 1st was the first day of summer!

Rabbit, rabbit!

Spring is in full bloom this Wednesday!

May 1st is May Day, and many of us think of this day as a celebration of spring.

However, the National Day Calendar notes May 1st was actually the first day of summer in many ancient calendars.

It’s popular to celebrate the day with May Day baskets, in which people harvest flowers in cone-shaped baskets to give away.
