Jurors are deciding a former East Pittsburgh cop’s fate after his trial for a deadly shooting last June.

Michael Rosfeld says he thought a gun was pointed at him when he fired three shots at 17-year-old Antwon Rose Jr. during a traffic stop.

Police say the car Rose and another passenger were in matched the description of a car involved in a drive-by shooting 20 minutes before the traffic stop.

Rosefeld also said during the trial  “I’m not going to wait to be attacked” when questioned why he didn’t wait for other officers.

Several witnesses during the trial testified that Rosfeld was distraught and emotional after realizing he fatally shot Rose.
