Maryland man accused of plotting to run over pedestrians with stolen truck was denied bail


The Maryland man accused of plotting to mow down tourists with a stolen truck has been denied bail.

A judge agreed with prosecutors, that Rondell Henry should be detained as a flight risk and danger to the community.

The 28-year-old is accused of driving to National Harbor on March 27 in a stolen U-Haul.

Investigators say he wanted to run over innocent people. He admits being inspired by ISIS.

Jennifer L. Moore, FBI Acting Special Agent-in-Charge said, “This case emphasizes our greatest threat right now is home-grown violent extremists, those individuals who radicalize independently and alone in their own home with little to no warning.”
