Message in a bottle dated day before 9/11 found on Lake Michigan’s shore

A mother and daughter were out for a walk on Lake Michigan‘s shore recently when they discovered a message in a bottle.

It appears the Pepsi bottle was cast into the water nearly 20 years ago as part of a high school class project that originated in Clayton, Indiana.

The bottle contained three letters – one from a teacher and two from students.

The student letters were dated September 10th, 2001, one day before the 9/11 terror attacks.

Now, the mother and daughter want to find the students and learn more about their lives since writing those letters.
