Data from new research has been released on the number of crashes in states that have legalized the sale of recreational marijuana.
According to a study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute, the number of accidents in Nevada, Oregon, Colorado and Washington state have all increased by as much as six percent.

These numbers are compared to some neighboring states that have not legalized marijuana for recreational use.
