Severe storms leave damaged homes in Natchitoches Parish

National

The line of severe weather that made its way across parts of the ArkLaTex spawned several tornado warnings and left homes damages in Natchitoches Parish.

Sheriff’s deputies spotted what they believed to be a tornado, just after 4 p.m. Monday.

Then, they saw what they believed to be another tornado peel off and track eastward, across Fish Hatchery Road and over to the Plantation Pointe area just north of Natchez.

Some of the homes in that area received damage to roofs and outdoor items.

Currently, volunteer fire departments and Louisiana State Police troopers are assisting deputies in traffic control.

In Texas, one person died and two others were hurt after the storm rolled through.
