New Haven Battalion Chief arrested for violating a protective order

A New Haven Battalion Chief accused of violating a protective order was arrested while on duty Tuesday.

New Haven Police tell News 8 Chief Felipe Cordeo was contacted during his shift by police and then turned himself in.

The nature of the charges are unclear at this time.

Cordeo does have a history of prior arrests.
