Seven displaced after structure blaze on Blake Street

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The New Haven Fire Department are on site of a structure fire early Tuesday morning on Blake Street.

According to New Haven fire crews, a reported house fire at 31 Blake Street took place around 2 a.m.

Firefighters say heavy smoke was pushing from the third floor, but the fire is under control.

News 8 has confirmation that seven people were displaced and everyone got out safely. One minor injury to a firefighter was reported.
