NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — One person has died after an overdose in New Haven, officials say.
News 8 crews found police at a scene on Wall and State Streets around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Police had crime tape up and an officer on scene told News 8 they were investigating an overdose death. Police did not say what drug the victim overdosed on.
The officer said police have “doubts” that this overdose is connected to the string of tainted drugs that caused three deaths, more than a dozen overdoses and led to the city issuing an emergency public health warning last week.
