Newington police respond to report of armed robbery at Friendly’s

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) —  Newington police responded to Friendly’s after receiving calls reporting a robbery involving multiple suspects, said to have been armed and wearing masks.

Around 11:15 p.m., Newington police say they responded to the Friendly’s at 3420 Berlin Turnpike, on a report of an armed robbery with multiple, mask-wearing suspects. Dispatchers were unable to say how accurate these details were, but said that K-9 tracks were initiated and were unsuccessful.

No arrests have been made, and Newington police say the investigation is still active. Stay tuned with News 8 for developing details.
