No injuries in Hamden fire

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) – There were no injuries from a fire in Hamden Tuesday. No one was home when the fire broke out at 4:07 p.m. at 460 Wintergreen Avenue.

According to the fire department a person driving by the home noticed smoke coming from the home and called 911.

Firefighters were able to determine the home was not occupied at the time and were able to extinguish the fire within 20 minutes.

Neighbors were able to give firefighters the name and phone number of the home’s owner who was then contacted and returned home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
