North Haven man suffers life-threatening injuries after Hamden motorcycle crash

A North Haven man has life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident that shut down a road in Hamden on Saturday evening.

Police say around 8:00 p.m., 28-year-old Eric Weinstein was driving a motorcycle down Dixwell Avenue. Officials say Weinstein’s motorcycle collided with a vehicle being operated by a 54-year-old East Haven resident.

Weinstein was then transported to a local hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Dixwell Avenue between Colony and Evergreen Roads was shut down for hours following the accident but reopened around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
