An incredible story here that took place in the hallways of a hospital.
Two-year-old Giselle Smith was born weighing less than two pounds. She needed a feeding tube and special care, and was in the custody of the state since her birth parents were unable to care for her.
For five months, not a single person visited the baby in the hospital. That’s when a nurse at the hospital spotted the baby.
That nurse was Liz Smith, the Director of Nursing at Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Boston. She took the baby into foster until her adoption was eventually finalized.
