Officials identify woman fatally shot in New Britain, suspect still at large

News

Police in New Britain have identified the woman who was fatally shot and killed on Monday night.

According to officials, around 6:00 p.m., units responded to 39 Elam Street for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, they found 27-year-old Alice Marie Figueroa suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

She was then taken to a local hospital where she later died.

Police identified 42-year-old Benjamin Morales as a suspect. An active warrant is out for him for the charge of murder.
