SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Southington Police are investigating what led up to a Monday morning car versus pedestrian crash that left one person dead.
Police were called to the accident scene just before 10:00 a.m. The accident happened on Savage Street near Rockwood Drive.
Police say a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by 37-year-old Jarred Korab of Wallingford, collided with 50-year-old Amal Abouchakra. Abouchakra was on the eastern edge of Savage Street when she was struck, officials say.
The 50-year-old was taken to Bradley Memorial Hospital where she later died.
