Orange police looking for ice cream shop armed robber


ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — The Dip Top ice cream shop in Orange was robbed on Friday night and now police need help finding the suspect.

Orange police were called to the Dip Top store located at 263 Boston Post Road just after 9 p.m. Friday for a reported robbery.

Officers learned that a while male in his 20s to 30s, dressed in black and wearing a white bandana walked into the store demanding money. Police say the suspect had a knife.

Employees backed away while the suspect opened the register, took the cash, and left the area on foot.

There were no customers in the store at the time and no employees were injured. A dog track was unsuccessful.
