Police are investigating after a man delivering food in Hamden was robbed on Tuesday night.

Police say at around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Alstrum Street on the report of an armed robbery

An investigation revealed that a 24-year-old victim was delivering Chinese food to a home on that street when he was confronted by two men, while approaching the front porch.

The victim told police that one of the men “pressed a hard object” into his stomach while threatening to shoot him. The other man then reached into the victim’s pocket and stole $200 and a cell phone.

The victim was not injured.

Police describe the suspects as two black males between 5’7″ and 5’9″ tall, wearing dark clothes and a ski mask.
