WESTHAMPTON, N.Y. (WTNH) — A private plane that left Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks was forced to make an emergency landing on Long Island late Tuesday morning.

According to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to Gabreski Airport in Westhampton at 11:35 a.m. on a report that an aircraft had made an emergency landing. The plane had left Bradley a short time before, and was bound for MacArthur Airport in Islip, New York.

The plane was able to safely land at Gabreski Airport. No injuries were reported. Officials are investigating what caused the plane to need to make an emergency landing.
