Police arrest suspect wanted for multiple bank robberies in Connecticut

Police officials have confirmed the identification of a burglar of who allegedly robbed a People’s Bank inside a Stop & Shop in Unionville back in December. 

Police in Farmington were searching for a suspect they say robbed a local bank in the Unionville section of town in late December. Officials identified the man as Richard Cable.

Officers responded to the People’s United Bank of the Stop & Shop located on Farmington Avenue in Unionville. Police say a man showed the bank teller a note implying he had a gun and demanded money.

Police believe the same suspect is responsible for similar robberies in Waterbury, Bristol and Bridgeport, among other towns in Connecticut. 

Detectives from the Farmington Police Department continue to investigate.
