Police identify body found in Higganum

HIGGANUM, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police found the body of a deceased individual in Higganum Saturday morning. On Monday CSP identified the deceased as 36-year-old Robert Gardner.

Police say they received a call around 10:15 a.m. for a person who never returned home from a walk the day before.

A K-9 assisted troopers with finding the body in a wooded area across from 280 Killingworth Road.

The cause of death has not yet been made public.
