Police investigating after 2 seriously hurt in New Haven shootings

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are investigating two shootings they believe took place on Franklin Street Wednesday evening.

New Haven Police Media Liaison David Hartman said two people were brought to the Emergency Department at Yale-New Haven Hospital around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say 28-year-old Brian Faulks was shot several times and is listed in serious, but stable condition. The second victim, 39-year-old Erin Jones is in critical condition. Both Faulks and Jones are from New Haven.

The suspected crime scene is in the Farnam Courts Housing Complex on Franklin Street.

Anyone who may have witnessed this shooting or who may have information is asked to call police at (203)946-6304. Calls may be made anonymously.
