Police investigating ‘untimely death’ at East Haven apartment complex

EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in East Haven are investigating an “untimely death” case at the East Farm Village apartment complex.

Before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to Messina Drive after property management noticed a foul odor coming from one of the units.

Officers were able to determine that foul play was not a factor in the woman’s death.

The deceased has been identified as 94-year-old Lydia Civitelli.

Her body was transported to the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner for further investigation but the incident is not considered suspicious.
