Police: Plainfield man killed after crashing motorcycle into pickup truck in Canterbury


A Plainfield man has died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Canterbury on Thursday morning.

According to officials, around 7:20 a.m., Connecticut State Police learned of the crash on Norwich Road at the intersection with Butts Bridge Road.

At the scene, authorities learned that 26-year-old Anthony Burgess was riding a motorcycle when it collided with the back of the truck.

Burgess was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

The driver of the truck, a Brooklyn, Conn. man, was not hurt.

The collision remains under investigation.
