STAMFORD/GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH)–A man has died after a tree fell on a car on Route 15 on Friday afternoon near the Stamford/Greenwich line, according to state police.
The accident happened around 3:35 p.m., according to police. 25 year-old Jonathan Rodriguez Melendez, a New Jersey resident, was killed.
Another person in the car was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. There is no word on their condition.The highway was closed at exit 33 for a while.
