We talked to voters about some of the most pressing issues facing the state.
Governor Dan Malloy, dressed in a Red Sox jersey, handed out candy to trick-or-treaters as he spends his final days in the Governor’s mansion.
Celeb Peck spending Halloween with his daughters, but election day on his mind.
I’m really excited to see where things go and also nervous. I think there are a lot of questions on the table and we’re all trying to figure out what the best direction to go.
Peck works in mental health with a lot of Medicaid folks.
“The thought of cutting Medicaid services is nerveracking. On the other hand, I own a small business – there are a lot of taxes.”
For Clayton Cutler, this election is about the economy.
“I’m mainly concerned about Connecticut maintaining its competitiveness in the national economy. New York and Massachusets have recovered well from the financial crisis, but I feel like Connecticut has lagged in that.”
With six days to go – some voters like Rolinda Williams are still undecided.
“It’s going to be a last minute decision on who to vote for.”
She says this election comes down to providing for her family.
“My thing is taxes because i do pay a lot for taxes – that hurts your pocket so.”
For Governor Malloy, this will be his last Halloween handing out candy on Prospect Avenue.
Voters all across the state believing this is one of the most critical elections in the history of Connecticut.
