Body camera, dash camera bill for officers heading to Senate


(WTNH) — A bill that would make it easier for police departments to access state funding for body cameras and dash cameras is on its way to the Senate.

The bill passed the State House of Representatives.Related Content: UConn police officers now wearing body cams

If approved, police could access around $9 million in state funding for the cameras.

Right now, each camera will cost around $400.
