Chairman of the CT Republican Party J.R. Romano announces resignation

(WTNH) — J.R. Romano, the Chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party, announced his resignation Tuesday.

“After much personal reflection, I am officially resigning my chairmanship,” he writes. “It is time for a new voice to be heard from the Connecticut Republicans.”

The State Central Committee will hold a special election in 60 days to fill vacancy. A formal election will be held in May.
