Congresswoman DeLauro meets with 25 school superintendents

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro talked about education on Monday.

The Democrat met with school superintendents from 25 cities and towns in the New Haven area, Middletown and Stratford.

She says that districts face the problem of dealing with more student related issues and fewer state and federal dollars to go around.

"What they all spoke against is what to do and it's at a tremendous cost and the resources are not there to deal with all the issues they have to deal with," said DeLauro.

The meeting was on the impact of federal budget cuts on the schools.
