The Fair Paycheck Act would strengthen the Equal Pay Act of 1963.
It would guarantee that women can challenge pay discrimination and hold employers accountable.

“Nothing is more right and nothing would mean more to working families in this country. I cannot tell you how difficult it has been to break through on something so simple, that men and women in the same job deserve the same pay. That’s what this is about,” Rep. DeLauro said.
She said the bill has support from every Democrat in the House and 47 Democratic Senators.
They hope the President signs the bill by April 2nd, which is Equal Pay Day.
