Governor Lamont to discuss state budget proposal

There will be a closer look at tolls Thursday as Governor Ned Lamont is expected to further discuss his state budget plan.

Governor Lamont will speak at the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy Forum in Hartford on Thursday morning.

Besides tolls, the governor also proposed extending the sales tax to 30 goods and services and using funds from surplus to pay 25-percent of the state’s teacher pension plan.

Lamont is also pushing for paid family and medical leave as well as a 15-dollar minimum wage.
