Poll finds majority of Connecticut residents support marijuana legalization for taxation


FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Sacred Heart University poll has found that most people in Connecticut think marijuana could held with the state’s ongoing budget crisis.

The poll found that 71% of people from around the state support legalizing and taxing marijuana.Related Content: Poll finds uncertainty with state’s economic future among high earners

60% of people said the state budget should be fixed by creating new sources of tax revenue.

Marijuana is legal for adults in eight states including Massachusetts and Maine.
