HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Governor Malloy’s office says he has been officially appointed by the White House as a co-Chair of the Council of Governors. It’s described as a bi-partisan council of ten state Governors selected by the President for two-year terms.
The Council will discuss and lead conversation on the important topics of the National Guard, Homeland Defense issues, and cyber security. They will then advise the White House and U.S. national security leadership on such topics. The Council is also designed to strengthen the partnership between the federal and state governments.
