Hamden, Conn. (WTNH)- The chairman of family medicine at the Qunnipiac University School of Medicine is offering some advice to best handle the brutally cold temperatures that are on the way for later this week.
Dr. Howard Selinger wearing layers of clothing should be among your top priorities. Dr. Selinger also points out that a great deal of heat is lost through the top of the heat, so important to wear a hat. Although many might not realize it, staying hydrated is important even in the cold weather.
You should also avoid direct exposure to the elements by wearing face protectors and neck protection according to Dr. Selinger. Temperatures are expected to dip to single digits on Thursday and Friday.
